And so it ends...

Alex's shell has been returned to us. She will remain at mom and dad's home in an urn that dad will craft to memorialize Alex. I can't say that the circle has been completed by her ashes being returned, because we all know that there will always be a gap missing. That gap will not be filled until we meet our Maker in Heaven and see Alex's pretty face standing next to Him.

Thank you friends for sharing Alex's journey with us. Thank you for all of the prayers and thoughts you have had for us during this time. It was such a blessing to have this blog to share with our family and friends. Though many of us are miles apart, we shared Alex's humor, her pain, her wild emotions, and her love. You helped Alex feel famous by reading her blog. She loved each of you, even if she didn't know you. If you never got the chance to meet Alex, find her in Heaven someday and ask her about her adventures here on earth. But be prepared to answer several questions from her as well.

This will be the last entry to Alex's blog. She fought the good fight and she finished her race. She left a lasting impression on all of us. We miss her terribly but we cherish the memories we have of her. Please don't forget her story and the strength she taught us all. I know Alex touched many lives as we have heard from several people. If there was a way in which Alex touched your life, please email your story to mom (Greta Haines) at ghaines1319@gmail.com. It is always encouraging to us to hear about Alex's success during her life.

So as Alex is dancing with the angels above, ask yourself this question. Will you be able to look back at the end and say that you have fought the good fight, you have finshed the race? Will you be celebrating with the angels above?

May God bless you and and keep you and your family safe and happy.

In Love-

Alex's Family
