A Boring Day

Today has been pretty uneventful. Alex is till gagging a little when she coughs and sometimes that makes her throw-up. As her cough resides and her mucus gets thinner her cough will get better. Since she has had so much diarrhea her bottom has become raw. Now she is not pooping at all. We think she may be holding it in so that her bottom won't hurt her. Because of that her stomach has began to hurt. They have ordered an x-ray of abdominal area to see if she is impacted or if there is anything that could be causing her stomach to hurt. Her PICC line in her leg is acting up. It is not allowing them to draw blood out of it. They have to figure out what is going on with that. They are still using it to administer all her meds so it has a good flow to it just it won't pull back and pull any blood out.

She will dialysize tomorrow and then go up to the 6th floor. WOOOHOOO!! She is so excited to get out of this place. Hopefully she will be home in no time. Her birthday is August 19 and what a birthday present it would be for her to be home.
