Alex had a very good day yesterday. She ate two bowls of chicken noodle soup and was laughing and playing around with us. Mom was able to take a break for a few hours and her and dad went to eat and spend some much needed time together. Jessica and I took on Alex Watch and she was in a great mood. She started acting like she quit breathing and at first it freaked Jessica out but Alex thought that it was so funny that she kept doing it over and over again and she couldn't quit laughing.
Today has not been so good. She started running a low fever today about 100, and she has been complaining of her stomach hurting. They did some blood cultures to see if she has an infection but that will take 24-72 hours for the results to come back. She is not complaining of anything hurting (besides her stomach) and all she wants to do is sleep. We are hoping she has a small virus and that she will break her fever soon. We hope that by this time next week we will be reporting about her first weekend at home in over 140 days!!!
