If Only I Had a Diet Coke!

Today was fabulous! Alex was extubated around 3:00 without any error. They rolled her down to the O.R. to pull the ventilator and watched her as she put those lungs to work. She showed them all that her lungs are just as good as new...almost. She is on a high pressure oxygen mask for the next few days just to make sure that her lungs stay strong.

Since we removed the tube she is able to talk a little. She is very horse and it is still rough for her to talk. She is able to mouth and softly speak "I want a Diet Coke". We have no clue where this came from but this little lady really wants a Diet Coke. Maybe she can have one in the next few days.

We are so excited that she was extubated. This is a HUGE step! We give God all of the Glory! He is amazing and impresses us with His power EVERY day with Alex. What a celebration of life today!
